Hortiterra Project
We are excited to unveil a groundbreaking greenhouse farming initiative designed to empower young farmers by equipping them with the essential tools, knowledge, and resources necessary for success in sustainable agriculture. Our project prioritizes experiential learning and hands-on engagement, ensuring that participants gain practical experience while focusing on profitability. We are committed to promoting practices that respect environmental sustainability, fostering a new generation of responsible and innovative agricultural leaders.
The Business Model Canvas (BMC) presented here encompasses the entire HortiTerra Project and highlights its primary focus areas. The subsequent canvasses delve deeper into each specific stage of the project.
Each BMC is crafted from the customer’s perspective, making it most effective to read from right to left—beginning with Customer Segments, moving through the Value Proposition, and finally tracing the path to Key Activities, Costs, and Revenues.
While the different stages are outlined separately in the following canvasses, it is crucial to recognize that they are intrinsically interconnected. For instance, as the business development stage generates sufficient revenue, it can provide funding for the training institute. This, in turn, allows graduates to establish their own greenhouse enterprises. By integrating these new businesses with the farmers' cooperative, HortiTerra can expect to see increased expenditures, facilitating further growth. The resulting economies of scale will generate even more revenue, allowing for further expansion and reinforcing this positive feedback loop.
